KC Olson

KC Olson returns to Monticello High School as the new principal. Olson spent the last year as principal of Monticello Elementary School and the three years before that as assistant principal of Monticello High School.

Prior to his time in Monticello, he worked as a teacher for the Washington County School District. He has a degree from Southern Utah University with majors in Physical Education and Special Education. He later earned a Masters in Education with an Administrative Endorsement from SUU.

Olson became inspired to go into education while serving in the Army in Iraq. He was on a combat mission, and related, “It just hit me that if I wanted to make a difference in this world, working in a school was a great place to do so. I feel that empowering students to reach their full potential is a great way to impact our future. The students in the classrooms today will one day be our leaders.”

“I truly love the community of Monticello and I look forward to serving its members as I help to educate its young learners.”
