Academic All State 2026 Spring: Seth Taylor Monticello Track & Field

Head Coach Jeff Hunt: “There is simply no one who is smarter than Seth Taylor, anywhere. Watching Seth figure out math problems is a thing of beauty since it seems to come so easy to him.
“However, not everything comes so easy. When he started track as a freshman, he couldn’t even trip over the hurdles right. But he stuck with it and eventually made it onto the podium at the state meet.
“Seth is also willing to do whatever it takes to succeed. Over the course of the season he was asked to join relays and enter races that didn’t seem to fit his skills, but he did them willingly and wound up on the podium two more times.
“At school he was asked to take leadership roles in the National Honor Society and Student Council and helped those organizations do some great things.”
