“Conflict and compromise” at regional history fair

“Conflict and Compromise” is the theme of the annual History Fair that was held on February 13 at the Utah State University Eastern campus in Blanding.
Students from Monticello and Blanding participated in the annual event, with the top finishers qualifying for a spot at the state History Fair in April.
Approximately 50 projects were entered into the competition, with entries for students in junior high and high school.
Top junior high exhibits include Lacrosse by Tate Ramsay and Radium Girls by Lara Whitaker. Samuel Bouchard was honorable mention.
Carson Wells had the top junior high performance about Eddie Rickenbacker.
The top junior high documentaries are Katherine Switzer and Bobbi Gibb by Halle Morrison, and The Treaty of Versailles by Madi Keyes. Jessi Slack is honorable mention.
The top junior high group documentary is United Order Orderville Trousers by Ashlyn Bake, Elizabeth Pugh, and Kelsey Pugh.
Two junior high groups earned top honors in exhibits, including Billie Holliday by Taylor Lewis and Saydi Young, and Make-up in the 1920s by Emilee Robinson and Kylie Rogers. Maycee Conway and Cadin McPherson are honorable mention.
The top junior high individual website is The LDS Church and Black People by Caroline Crippen.
The top junior high group website is Susan B Anthony by Kylee Davis and Lily Long.
In the high school competitions, the top historical papers are American Eugenics by Annsheri Reay and Fat Boy: Hiroshima by Shelly Lewis. Honorable mention goes to Crystal Alba.
The top exhibits are Monopoly by Steven Robinson and Rosa Parks by Parker Walker. Nyla Maryboy is honorable mention.
The top group exhibits are Berlin Wall by Matthew Beh and Evan Rowley, and Pearly Harbor by Reed Heglin and Colton L21 History Fairewis. Tymbr Black and Tristen Esplin are honorable mention.
The top group documentary is Vietnam by Britton Brewer and Lucas Hatch and Gianna Jessen, while the top group performance is Women’s Suffrage by Aspen English and Ellie Thayn.
The top documentary is NBA Reserve Clause by Adam Bunker.
The top group website is Akbar by Chance Deeter and Bryson Henderson, while the top website is Ronald Reagan by Kiley Tracy.
