MHS drama presents Charley’s Aunt

Curtains up! The Monticello High School drama department is excited to announce their performance of Charley’s Aunt.
Students have been working on this comedic show for months and are excited to share with the community.
Directed by Lynda Boyle, Paige Freestone, and April Ramsay, this play is sure to delight.
Victorian-era university students Jack and Charley (played by Carson Wells and Tate Ramsey) are both in love and plan to propose to their respective girlfriends Kitty and Amy (played by Lily Long and Hannah Crowley).
They invite the girls over to meet Charley’s millionaire aunt, Donna Lucia d’Alvadorez of Brazil, played by Laili Dilts, who just happens to be planning to visit Charley for the first time.
But when the aunt cancels at the last minute, the boys enlist feckless friend and fellow Oxford student Fancourt “Babbs” Babberly, (played by Daniel Delorennzis) – who is dressed in costume as a woman for an amateur play — to impersonate Charley’s aunt and clear the way for the boys’ marriage proposals. Hilarious hijinks ensues.
There will be two performances, one on Saturday January 29 at 7:30 p.m. and the second on Monday January 31 at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets will be sold at the door, $5 for adults, $3 for students, and $2 for children. Doors open at 7 P.M. You won’t want to miss out on the fun!
