Sterling Scholar Runner-up- KJ Smith - San Juan - General Scholarship

This year’s runner-up of the General Scholarship is intelligent and confident. They have been through many trials in their life that have shaped them and pushed them to do better. They are involved in activities such as FBLA, NHD, and competition drama. They are also a graduate of the American Legion Utah Boys State. This is someone who is dedicated to serving their community and has worked tirelessly to tackle food insecurity in the area. He hopes to continue his passion for serving others and carry it into his career, where he plans to pursue urban planning to help shape the world around him. During his time in high school, he has truly been blessed to be guided by great leaders, taught by great examples, and changed by great friends to become the person he is today. The runner-up of this year’s General Scholarship category, from San Juan High School, is KJ Smith.
