The winner in the Visual arts category has grown up with a love of art and began creating her own works of art at a very young age. As she grew, she found herself fascinated with any type of visual art and communication. Art became her way of expressing herself. She began being experimental with art making, reading more and watching movies with a careful eye.
Even in her day to day life, she found herself making observations on how people dress and carry themselves, she spent extra time staring at ads and magazine covers.
Art is how we connect with one another… it provides a universal language that can be read no matter your background or circumstance.
She is the daughter of Theodore and Cherissa Dance. The winner is Gabrielle Dance from Montezuma Creek.
