Scholarships awarded

San Juan Health Service District and Blue Mountain Hospital recently teamed up to award $7,500 in scholarships to local residents who are pursuing higher education degrees in healthcare-related fields. Funds were raised through the annual golf tournament and generous donations from supportive businesses. Receiving scholarships are Grange Simpson, Cheyenne Yazzie, Tisheena Yazzie, Grady Shumway, Jazlyn Shelton, Bridgett Horrocks, Yeni Carranza, Alice Friend, Crystal Shumway, Cortney Shumway, Jessica Walker, Autumn Evans, Johanna Whatcott, Jessica Shumway, Ann Pugh/Walker, and Klea Hurst.
