Desert Rivers Credit Union cuts the ribbon on new Monticello location

Although they have been open since December at 16 East 200 South, Suite D in Monticello, Desert Rivers Credit Union held their official ribbon cutting ceremony on Jan. 11.
The credit union is celebrating their Monticello grand opening for the entire month of January with special deals such as $50 added to any new checking account with a $500 deposit.
Another deal includes zero closing cost fees on any new home equity line of credit for at least $10,000.
At the ribbon cutting ceremony, all attendees were given a crisp $1 bill and a raffle ticket entry for a chance to win the grand prize – a choice of a hunting rifle, big screen television, or a Bosch Mixer.
During the month of January, all new accounts will receive a fresh dollar bill and a raffle ticket, just as those who attended the ribbon cutting.
The new Monticello branch adds to the companies repertoire of credit unions in Utah, joining Moab, Blanding, and Green River.
It’s something that brings a smile to the face Chief Executive Officer Sam Crane. “We’re pretty excited about it,” Crane said at the ceremony before cutting the ribbon.
The new branch provides another banking option for Monticello residents and fills the gap left by the recent closure of the Monticello Wells Fargo branch.
