Easter Egg Hunt and Color Run Saturday

The annual San Juan High Color Festival is this Saturday, April 3 at Centennial Park in Blanding.

The Easter Egg Hunt, Color Run and festival benefits the clubs and teams at San Juan High.

Event organizers encourage everyone to use COVID-19 precautions, such as social distancing and wearing a mask to follow the school district re-entry plans.

The event begins with a free Easter Egg Hunt at 9:30 a.m. for children up to 12 years old. The free event is sponsored by the school’s National Honor Society.

The hunt will be divided on three separate baseball fields grouped by age, with age zero to four years on the west field, age five to eight years on the south field, and age nine to 12 years on the east field.

The 5k Color Run is scheduled for 10 a.m. for those planning to walk and at 10:30 for those who wish to run.

Participants run in white shirts and pass through five different stations where they are doused in different colored powder. This results in a colorful mess at the end of the race.

Early registration is $30 while day-of registration is $35.

Additionally, a bunny hop sack race will be held at noon.

Food booths and vendors will be at the fair, which will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Crafts and carnival games will require tickets to participate. Tickets can be purchased at the festival or in advance online.
