Get ready: Messiah performance is returning!

The year 2025 will mark the 47th performance of Handel’s Messiah in San Juan County.
Since 1975, there have been many iterations, featuring hundreds of performers and several conductors, including Pete Henderson, Francis Lyman, Derryl Jack, Duane Lyman, Wayne Erickson, Jake Palmer, and now Tim Harrison.
The performance this year will be Sunday, December 14 in Blanding.  All area musicians are invited to participate.
The orchestra, under the direction of Kristan Smith, will rehearse every Sunday evening.
Please call Emma Brown 385-250-6946 for more information, especially if you are a woodwind player!
The choir will practice on Sunday evenings in the Blanding LDS Stake Center, starting on November 16.
Until then, singers are encouraged to use online practice apps – like choralmusictutor –to improve their skills or learn their part.
For more information, call Jody Fellmeth at 435-459-9764 or Mason Lyman at 435-459-2069.
