Host of events will mark Easter season

Many events are scheduled for the Easter season in the Redrock country.
Saint Joseph Catholic Church at 365 South Main in Monticello will hold Sunday Mass at noon on Easter Sunday.
San Juan Community Church, at 200 South 217 East in Monticello, invites all to their Easter Revival beginning Wednesday April 16 with a service featuring Dewayne Neal at 7 p.m.
Thursday evening service at 7 p.m. features Cole Howe.
Friday’s worship welcomes the Dove Creek Baptist Choir at 7 p.m.
Enjoy Easter Sunrise service with Gary Halls at 7 a.m.
Every week throughout the year, Sunday services start with Bible study at 10 a.m. followed by Worship service at 11 a.m. and an Evening service at 6 p.m.
Bible Study is also held on Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. Again, the Community Church welcomes everyone. Follow them on Facebook @sanjuancommunitychurch
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints congregations throughout San Juan County meet at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m, generally for Sacrament Meeting only on Easter Sunday.
All other auxiliary meetings, such as Primary for the little ones, Priesthood and Relief Society for adults and Young Men and Young Women meetings, will resume the week after Easter Sunday.
A special Easter Celebration called The Living Christ was presented by the Youth on Palm Sunday.

San Juan High School National Honor Society will host an Easter Egg Hunt for kids age zero to eleven at the Centennial Park in Blanding on Thursday, April 17 at 6 p.m. The hunt will be broken into areas for age groups. Contact Julie Castellon for more information at 801-644-5709.
The Monticello High School National Honor Society is also hosting an Easter Egg hunt at Veterans Park in Monticello starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19.
This is for children from toddlers up to 10 years old. In case of inclement weather, they will move to the Monticello High School gymnasium.
The Baptist Church in Monticello has planned an Easter Sunrise Service at Loyds Lake at 6:30 a.m. followed by Breakfast at the church on 96 East 500 North at 8 a.m.
After breakfast, the kids will enjoy an Easter Egg hunt. Bible Study will begin at 9:45, followed by Worship Service at 11 a.m. Everyone is welcome.
St. Christophers Mission in Bluff will have Maundy Thursday services at 6 p.m. on April 17. Good Friday Liturgy will be at noon on April 18. The Way of the Cross will take place Friday evening at 5 p.m.
On Easter Sunday, St. Christophers will have the Great Vigil Holy Eucharist near the river, followed by a brunch at the Retreat Center. Holy Eucharist will then be held at 10 a.m. at the Mission.
No services are planned in Oljato this year.
