Kiglia Fine Arts introduces upcoming comedy, other events

After the Christmas let-down and the winter doldrums, it’s time to laugh.  After all laughter can increase our endorphins and keep us feeling happier.
Kigalia Fine Arts will sponsor James Junes, Navajo comedian, and motivational speaker.
James Junes is a Dine/Navajo and part Hopi from Hoteville, AZ.  He travels nationwide and speaks, entertaining at corporations and association meetings to inspire, uplift, replenish positivity and “Humor-Healing.  
It’s a blend of a powerful message with a delivery technique to inspire, to share comedy and motivate audiences of all ages.
He also shares his experiences of living a Sober life, Domestic Violence and Suicide and recently beat Colon Cancer.  He continues to share the power of laughter, which is the medicine we all need!
He will be at the Bluff Community Center on Monday, January 12 at 7 pm. The cost is $10 or a Kigalia Fine Arts Season Pass. Of course, students are free.
Kigalia Fine Arts also supports our school District.  Mr. June will be speaking to Whitehorse high school, at 8:55 am and San Juan HS at 2:30 pm.
The Kigalia Fine Arts tries to support San Juan County residents and environs.  We appreciate when folks support us in return. To keep you aware of the rest of the ‘25-26 Season, here’s our ambitious schedule.
January 20 will begin the Painting Portraits class taught by Kelly Pugh.  This, however, is restricted to those 55+ or older since it funded by the Utah Division of Arts and Museums for seniors. On Wednesday, January 21 - Navajo Winter Storytelling @ USU Blanding Hogan @ 7:00 pm, Free We’ll talk more about this next week.
Take your sweetheart to the Feb 14 - Valentine Dance @ Bluff Community Center @ 7:00 pm, $15 individuals/$20 couples. The 
March 9 – Coming directly from Branson Missouri, professional singer, George Dyer, will perform at @ Monticello High @ 7:00 pm, Admission is $15.
ADDED BONUS.UTAH Opera will be making the rounds of the schools in San Juan School District.  A community concert will be held at the USU Arts and Events Center on Thursday, March 26 at 7 pm. 
The local Community Talent Show will be held April 13 @ San Juan High @ 7:00 pm, $10 or Season pass. If you’d like to participate, contact Rebecca Pincock in Blanding.
Art works will be due March 23 at 5 pm for judging for the annual Art Show at Edge of the Cedars State Park. Come see terrific works produced mainly by local artists mid April.
 On May 2 in conjunction with the Edge of the Cedars Museum Archaeology Day will be the Art Market at Edge of the Cedars State Park. Vendors are welcome to participate for a nominal cost. Nancy Culbreath of Monticello is spearheading this event.
