Live Nativity on Christmas Eve

The 16th annual Live Nativity Presentation is scheduled for Christmas Eve, Monday December 24, at 5 p.m. sharp in Pioneer Park.

Organizers, led by Laura Butler, plan on a great program this year with beautiful Christmas music sung by a combined community choir. Soloists are Lynda Boyle and Janelle Jack and Scott Mitchell will share his flute and guitar talents. Students from Monticello High School will portray the angels and shepherds and John and Jana Husted have consented to be Joseph and Mary. Nearly 50 community members are involved in the production.

There will be bleachers this year and the audience is asked to bring their own chairs if they like. The program will begin promptly at 5 p.m. and will end approximately 5:30 p.m. There will be barrels with hot coals for warmth and hot cocoa will be served, but please dress warm as well.

A special thanks is extended to Pee Wee Barrella for his help preparing Pioneer Park, Jim Muhlestein as choir director, Tom Corrao will deliver some remarks, Sandra Skouson as narrator, and Lorie Butler helps with costumes.

Please come enjoy a wonderful celebration of the Christmas Story with family and friends.
