Locals enjoy horse camp
The San Juan County Horsemanship Club sponsored the 2012 Horse Camp at Foy Lake on the Abajo Mountain, on Thursday, June 28 through Saturday, June 30.
A group of more than 30 horse enthusiasts, led by trail boss Ked Sommerville, rode a six hour trail on Friday morning and a four hour trail on Saturday morning. The lack of a campfire didn’t damper the amount of fun had by the kids.
When they weren’t riding their horses, they enjoyed fishing and swimming at Foy Lake, as well as some dance lessons given by Karah Shumway and Colton Benson.
Our thanks goes out to everyone who helped make this a fun weekend for all!
