Look RV Resort to open on June 27

After more than two years of construction, the Look RV Resort north of Blanding is scheduled to open its doors on June 27!
Locals have watched the resort take shape piece by piece for years. June 27 is the opportunity to step inside, explore the property, and see what has been built. A grand opening celebration will run from 2 to 6 p.m. and is open to the public.
Look RV Resort and its staff will host a hot dog roast for visitors throughout the afternoon. Visitors can also tour the property and explore many of the amenities.
The fun doesn’t stop there, in addition to free food and tours, grand opening attendees can sign up for a game of pickleball on one of the three pickleball courts located on the property.
Attendees interested in participating can sign-up and reserve their pickleball court online.
Look RV Resort is owned and operated by Spring and Jared Berrett and their family. It features a mining theme at the request of one of the investors, whose family has a strong mining history.
In fact, Look RV Resort gets its name from an old uranium mine owned by the investor family. With a combination of lodging, recreation, event space, and family-friendly activities, Look RV Resort is positioned to serve both visitors and local residents.
The completed resort includes accommodations for a variety of travelers, including 80 full-service RV sites, six tent camping sites, and 18 fully stocked and furnished cabins.
Whether guests stay for a single night or plan an extended visit, the resort offers lodging options for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and visitors exploring the Four Corners region.
Beyond providing lodging for travelers, the resort represents a significant investment in the local economy.
The project has created 12 new jobs and will include a gift shop set to feature local artwork and products, providing another opportunity to showcase products created by local artists and makers.
Sarah Denetsosie, daughter of the Berretts, gave me a tour of the property last week. Several hidden gems have been hiding behind the building facade.
The first hidden gem is an 80-capacity conference room with an attached prep kitchen. The conference room alone opens up new possibilities for family reunions, business retreats, trainings, and special events.
Blanding has been hurting for more gathering spaces for years, so this conference room is not just a bonus for visitors but also locals.
Visitors will also find a large indoor swimming pool tucked behind and beneath the resort lobby. The pool includes a shallow wading area for younger children, and 5’ deeper end for swimming.
The pool area is framed with retractable glass walls that open onto a patio with outdoor seating and a large outdoor hot tub creating an open and versatile space for guests.
To the south of the swimming pool is a fire pit where guests can gather, a playground for the children, and three brand new pickleball courts. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport, not just in Blanding but nationwide, so these courts stand as a huge attraction for Look RV Resort guests.
Tucked below the lobby and next to the pool is another hidden gem that most people driving by would never see: a game room and fitness center.
The gym is well equipped for guests looking to keep up with their workout routine while traveling, while the game room is packed with activities for families and kids.
Arcade games, foosball, table tennis, and a variety of other games give guests plenty to do when they aren’t out exploring the county.
Many locals notice the large observation tower rising above the resort. It is one of the property’s most recognizable features and gives the resort a distinctive skyline.
Visitors willing to climb the four stories of spiral staircases will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the entire resort, the mountains to the north, and the hills to the east.
From the top, it is easy to appreciate both the scale of the project and the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Eventually, the tower will serve as the launch point for a zip line attraction. For now, it will simply be a place to enjoy the area from an incredible vantage point.
After more than two years of construction, planning, and countless hours of work from contractors, employees, vendors, and supporters, Look RV Resort is ready to open its doors. Reservations can currently be made at lookRVresort.com.
Community members are encouraged to attend the grand opening celebration on June 27, enjoy a meal, play some pickleball, and tour the property.
