Mandy Wigginton
Hello, my name is Mandy Wigginton. I was born in Logan, UT. My parents, Susan and Brent Flavel, moved to Blanding, UT in 1987 where my dad taught Spanish classes at San Juan High School. Growing up in Blanding, I was involved in volleyball, basketball, track, tennis, student council, FBLA, Honor Society, and 4-H. After graduating high school, I had the opportunity to move to Newburgh, NY and worked as a nanny for two years. In 2006 I moved to Logan, UT to attend Utah State University.
In 2008 I moved back to Blanding where I coached basketball at San Juan High and worked at San Juan Vision. I coached for seven years and loved every second.
I met Thomas Wigginton in 2009, and we were married in 2010. We have owned several business, including San Juan Pest, Thomas and Sons Trees, and now currently a small business called TM Premier Services. We have three children: Grant, Statten, and Naomi. I love to camp, work in the yard, craft, and come up with fun projects for us to build. Most of all I love spending time with my family.
I have served as the PTA president at Monticello Elementary School for the past three years. We have an amazing school, and it has been an honor to work with the teachers and kids.
I would love the opportunity to serve on the Monticello City Council. I am prepared to learn new things. I love our community and will do what it takes to see it continue to thrive.
I love the city rec program and firmly believe it has the potential to benefit our children for their whole lives. In a small town with limited options, a good rec program gives kids something productive to work towards. Quality programs help our youth develop character, teamwork, discipline, focus, and dedication. These are the characteristics we want to see in our kids as they prepare to head into the world.
