Martin Luther King, Jr. Day walk

Volunteers of America, Utah and the San Juan RSVP Advisory Council extend their appreciation and thanks to all the event sponsors, donors, and participants of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Walk on January 16.
More than 150 participants from three states and 12 communities participated in the walk, donating over 120 pieces of clothing, $10, and 492 pounds of food to the Transitions Bluff Food Bank. Participants ranged in age from one to 78 years old.
Communities represented include Aneth, Blanding, Bluff, Kayenta, Mexican Hat, Montezuma Creek, Monticello, Monument Valley, Oljato, Price, Salt Lake City, and Shiprock. Thanks to all who participated in each way possible, honoring Dr. King’s commitment to peace and community. Courtesy photo
