Meet the candidates

The Monticello Chamber of Commerce will host a Meet the Candidates event on Thursday, October 6 beginning at 7 p.m. at the San Juan County Commission Chambers, 125 South Main Street in Monticello.
Six candidates seek three open seats on the Monticello City Council.
They include Scott Frost, Jeremy Hoggard, Scott Shakespeare, Monte Wells, Tom Wigginton, and Tim Young.
The three seats are currently held by Frost, Shakespeare and Walter Bird. Councilmen Brad Randall and Craig Leavitt, along with Mayor Doug Allen, retain their seats for another two years.
The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 8.
