MHS graduation set
Monticello High School will honor the graduating seniors of the Class of 2020 at a virtual graduation at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20.
The senior class includes approximately 50 students.
The event will be broadcast on the San Juan Record website, on Facebook, and on other social media.
The MHS graduation is designed to resemble the traditional graduation service as much as possible.
The special guest speaker at the graduation event is Coach Krieg Adair.
Valedictorian Brooklyn Holt and Salutatorians Morgan Maloy and Shelbie Musselman will also speak.
Maloy and Naomi Mantz will introduce the graduates.
School officials who will participate include Principal KC Olson, School Board Member Lori Maughan, and Superintendent Ron Nielson.
At the current time, the senior class is just shy of $200,000 in scholarships, with more expected to be awarded.
Morgan Maloy and Shelbie Musselman earned Academic All-state Honors.
Hyrum Johnson and Shelbie Musselman were named scholar athletes.
Honors students include Orissa Beh, Dylan Bird, Megan Black, Porter Black, Olivia Christensen, Aaron Christiansen, Ivy Fellmeth, Madison Freestone, Brooklyn Holt, Hyrum Johnson, Adri Lewis, Morgan Maloy, Naomi Mantz, Shelbie Musselman, Alexandria Peterson, Makayla Sheeran, and Quay Walker.
Members of the National Honor Society are Orissa Beh, Dylan Bird, Olivia Christensen, Aaron Christiansen, Ivy Fellmeth, Madison Freestone, Brooklyn Holt, Hyrum Johnson, Adri Lewis, Morgan Maloy, Shelbie Musselman, Alexandria Peterson, Makayla Sheeran, and Quay Walker.
Sterling Scholars are Macy Badger, Alejandra Carranza, Olivia Christensen, Ivy Fellmeth, Madison Freestone, Adri Lewis, Morgan Maloy, Naomi Mantz, Shelbie Museslman, Alexandria Peterson, Dillon Slack, and Quay Walker.
Earning a certificate of CTE Completion are Porter Black, Logan Brandt, Cassadie Burkhart, Zachary Cecil, Zachary DeGraw, Peyton Eberling, Brett Fortune, Cameron Harrod, Gauge Johnson, Ethan Lee, Benjamin Peterson, Tyler Sallee, Makayla Sheeran, Rianna Shumway, and Quay Walker.
Early graduates include Ethan Allen, Tyler Beshoner, Ashley Grisham, Eldean Lammert, Gauge Johnson, Kyle Leavitt, Kaitlyn Morrison, Adrian Trevizo Gonzalez, Karl Schmidt, and Tyler Sallee.
