2023 Miss Indian Broken Trail Pageant

Students at Whitehorse High School participated in the annual Miss Indian Broken Trail pageant on May 4. Pictured are: (left to right) 1st Attendant Ashanti Shorty, 2023-24 Miss Indian Broken Trail Kyalee Benally, 2022-23 Miss Indian Broken Trail Leionna Silas, and Miss Navajo Nation Valentina Clitso. Clitso was pageant judge, along with San Juan Schools Heritage Language Director Brenda Whitehorse, Miss Northern Navajo Kaiesta White, and Miss Northern Navajo Teen DaeShondria Dee. MC was Taylor ‘Cheii’ Begay. The pageant marked the beginning of the Miss Indian Broken Trail Pow Wow on May 5 and 6, which included Gourd Dances and Grand Entrys.
