Monticello hires new asst. city manager / recreation director

Oliver Brian Crane, a recent graduate of Brigham Young University, has been hired as the new assistant city manager and recreation director for the City of Monticello.
Crane, who received at Masters degree in Public Administration from BYU just last week, is expected to begin work soon. He replaces Greg Westfall, who became the City Manager in recent weeks.
Westfall filled the city manager position when Kelly Pehrson left the city to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer for San Juan County.
City officials received approximately 15 applications for the position and interviewed eight applicants in the past week. Crane has experience in strategic management and organizing community events. He has worked with the Boys and Girls Club of Utah County.
Crane earned an undergraduate degree in English Literature from BYU-Idaho.
