Flag retirement in Monticello on June 16

Used United States flags from a variety of sources will be retired in Monticello on Monday, June 16. The solemn ceremony is set to begin at 6 p.m. at the Monticello Visitor Center. 
Jessie Barton, of the Utah National Guard, will lead the retirement ceremony.
The City of Monticello is sponsoring the event, which will include used flags from a variety of sources, including community service organizations, churches, individual families and the City.
If you have used flags that need to be retired, please drop them off at the city office during office hours.
Local residents are encouraged to attend.  S’more will be served starting at 5:45 p.m.!
