Monticello City Council Candidate: Jeremy Hoggard

My name is Jeremy Hoggard and I am seeking election to the Monticello City Council. I am a lifelong resident of Monticello, and a business owner myself! Our family loves living here, and we look forward to the future. I work as a Paramedic in our community and have served in this critical roll for over 12 years. We have had the opportunity to raise our 3 children here and would love to see them be able to return and be prosperous in their endeavors in our tight knit community, a feeling I believe you would all share as well. Several issues concern me, and I would love to be part of the solution. There are so many great people and projects moving forward that I would be honored to continue. The City is currently working on a water project that will be a great benefit to our community in addition to more conservation efforts. Other issues/projects that I would like to work on are affordable housing, as Albert Einstein said, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them” We have great potential to think outside the box for appropriate solutions. Attracting new and beneficial business to our community and supporting the businesses here is a high priority. We live in a beautiful area surrounded by so many amazing attractions for the world to see, keeping these people in our community to spend money and enjoy our beautiful community will also help support and expand business. We have great recreation programs that need to be continued and expanded. I fully support our Beatification Committee and would like to help them expand these programs. I currently serve on the Monticello planning commission and have great interest in the future of Monticello. Contact me with any questions or concerns, I would love to hear from you and would appreciate your support.
