Monticello City Council Candidate: Kim Henderson

Hello, I’m Kim Henderson, and I am seeking a second term on the Monticello City council.
I was born and raised in Monticello.  After graduating from Monticello High School, I moved to the Salt Lake Valley, where I met my wonderful husband, Curtis. In 2006, we decided that Monticello was where we wanted to raise our family and that brought me back home. 
I love Monticello, from the small town atmosphere and one stop light to our beautiful blue mountain with the horse head.
While serving on the city council for the past 3.5 years I’ve come to better understand and appreciate the importance of  government transparency, diverse economic development , supporting local businesses, along with the need for strong infrastructure and responsible growth and affordable housing. 
As a council member I have had the opportunity to work closely with the planning and zoning commission, recreation department and recreation committee. These are all things that I would like to continue to be a part of.
The city of Monticello has an amazing staff, employees and many volunteers that make our community great.
I would consider it an honor to continue to serve alongside the mayor and other council members in representing the citizens of Monticello.
