David Hinkins
Senate
For the past eight years I have served in the Utah Senate representing southern Utah County, plus the counties of Carbon, Emery, Grand, San Juan and Wasatch. As a longtime resident of Senate District 27 I have raised my family here, ranched, built numerous businesses and intend to retire here.
I am committed to protecting what makes our area great while also pushing for meaningful progress in infrastructure development and job growth. I believe I have a responsibility to make sure this state, and particularly our area, remains a great place for our children to grow up, be educated, build a career and raise a family.
I support state’s rights and the philosophy that the best government is the one closest to the people. I will continue to fight to properly fund our public education system while ensuring decisions regarding curriculum are made locally by teachers and parents. My support for public education is well documented. That is why I have received the endorsement of the UEA. I support the effort to gain access to our public lands. Access to those lands could be a huge economic benefit to our state and particularly our area. I will continue to lead out on efforts to ensure we have proper water resources available for the needs of our farms, ranches and residents.
I want to thank you for your support over the past eight years! I look forward to hopefully having another four years representing the great people of senate district 27.
