Head Coach Vanessa Russell: “Dakotah has a bright future ahead of her. She is a self-motivated individual with a great work ethic in school and sports. She had big shoes to fill on our team since she came to us her junior year. We needed someone who could play as a forward. Dakotah put in countless hours to learn post moves and footwork, and she put up countless shots in the gym.
“Dakota didn’t shy away from learning what was being taught and only got better as she went along.  That is the type of person she is in sports and in school; she isn’t afraid to put in the work and accomplish her goals. As a team captain she was a vocal leader in helping others get better and encouraging her teammates.
“Dakotah got to participate in the Senior All-Star Game this year after being voted in by 1A coaches in the state. She will also continue playing basketball at the next level as she signed a letter of intent to play for the women’s basketball team at Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts. As a coaching staff, we are proud of Dakota’s accomplishments and wish her well on her future endeavors.”
