Head Coach Laura Stearns: “Khimya is an impact player. I haven’t coached a player like her in a long time. This year she really stepped up in being a leader on our team. I loved watching her encouraging her teammates and pushing them to do better during games.
“Our game against Whitehorse this year was really a growing point for Khimya. We were down by one with the ball under the basket. She knew she could make the shot and she did. I’ve learned when she wants to do something, she’ll do it out in the court.
“Khimya has a great outside shot but also can dominate inside too. She plays a power forward and center, but she is also one of the best ball handlers on the team. She can do it all. Despite the excellence she currently possesses, Khimya still has so much growth ahead and I can’t wait to see what she accomplishes next season.”
