Whitehorse volleyball team splits games in past two weeks

Since suffering a loss to Monument Valley in the first Battle of the Drum matchup of the season, the Whitehorse volleyball team has played just two games.
Both games were decided in straight sets. On September 8 the Lady Raiders lost at Red Mesa, AZ and this past Friday, September 18 they beat Escalante, NM.
Whitehorse is now 3-2 on the season, ranked eighth in the Utah 2A standings. They played #11 Monticello on Tuesday, September 22 after the San Juan Record print deadline.
The girls are gearing up for a very busy next few days. On Wednesday, September 23 they will head to Chinle, AZ to take on Rough Rock.
Tuesday, September 29 they’ll host Pinnacle. Wednesday, September 30 they travel to Shiprock, NM to face Northwest.
The Lady Raiders will play two road games on Friday and Saturday, October 2-3 against Green River and Pinnacle respectively.
Then on October 6 Whitehorse will welcome Monument Valley to Montezuma Creek to close out the season series with their longtime rivals in the final Battle of the Drum during the regular season.
