Alan Lee Rogers March 8, 1956 ~ August 22, 2022

In loving memory of Alan Lee Rogers
March 8, 1956 - August 22, 2022
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend Alan Lee Rogers (Fredo) passed away August 22, 2022 after a lengthy battle with Melanoma (skin cancer).
He was born March 8, 1956 to Frederick Aaron (Buck) and Edna Rose (Palmer) Rogers. He was the oldest of four brothers, Dwight, Dan, and Martin (Marty).
Alan was a lifer in Monticello and grew up participating in all sports. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and snow-shoeing on the Blues with his best buddies. He graduated in 1974.
After high school he attended trade tech for several years where he learned to do his passion – Auto Body Repair.
He started his own shop – Alan’s Body Shop on Hwy 666, now known as 491 in 1977. For the 45 years he was in business, he often joked with the customers that if it weren’t for him feeding the wildlife, he wouldn’t have any business.
Alan was always a perfectionist. He wouldn’t let a vehicle leave his shop until it was precisely perfect. Alan was always a giving person. He would give you the shirt off his back if you wanted it and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Alan and Juli enjoyed riding his Harley and going on bike trips with friends. He liked cutting up with friends, listening to a large variety of music, and of course, telling crazy stories.
He is preceded in death by his father and little brothers Dan Sterling Rogers and Martin (Marty) James Rogers.
He is survived in life by a long list of loving family, friends, and business associates, including his wife Juli A. (Kinne) Rogers, who was with him for 30 years and his four beautiful children: Devon Miles Kinne Rogers of Moab, Dalton Alan Chase Kinne Rogers of Dallas, TX, Jordan Lee Rogers of Monticello, Abby Jo Rogers (Nick Huff) of Hawaii, and grandson Kash Miles Kinne of Vernal.
Alan is also survived by his loving mother Edna of Monticello, brother Dwight Aaron Rogers (Linda) and their children, sisters-in-law and their children, and extended family.
Alan was loved by many and will be missed much. May he rest in peace.
A donation account has been set up in Alan’s name at Zions Bank and other affiliates.

Miss Me But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little-but not too long
And not with your head bowed low
Remember the love that we once shared
Miss me-but let me go
For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It’s all part of the Master’s plan
A step on the road to home
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds
Miss me but let me go.
