Alvin Kay Lechtenberg

April 11, 1929 ~ April 18, 2018
On April 18, 2018, surrounded by family, Alvin Kay Lechtenberg, a father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, peacefully returned home to his Heavenly Father.
Born April 11, 1929 in Central, ID to Alvin and Connie Lechtenberg,  Kay was the second of five children and lived a full and blessed life. 
Kay attended Brigham Young University, majoring in Sociology, where he met the love of his life, Donna Stolworthy. 
They were married in the Logan Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for time and all eternity, on July 8, 1954. 
They lived 60 wonderful years together.  They spent their married lives raising their family, first in Idaho, then for close to 50 years in Taylorsville, UT, with the last several years in Blanding, UT. 
He considered his greatest blessing in life to be a husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. 
Kay served faithfully throughout his life in numerous LDS Church callings such as Bishop, Bishop’s counselor, High Councilor, Temple Worker, etc. 
He enjoyed a rewarding career working at the LDS Church Office Building as a Confidential Evaluator in the membership department. 
Kay had tremendous faith and a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. 
Kay is survived by his children, Lloyd (Leann) Lechtenberg, Larry Lechtenberg, Teresa (Rick) Hill, Eldon (Terri) Lechtenberg, and Camille (Alan) Ward; 25 grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister, Carol (Arlin) Hadley. 
He is preceded in death by his wife Donna; parents Alvin and Connie Lechtenberg; and his sisters Althea, Shirley and Joy. 
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 28 in Taylorsville, UT.  Interment at the Orem City Cemetery, in Orem, UT.
