Andrew Lee Romero February 19, 1969 ~ November 11, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, and friend, Andrew, who left us on November 11, 2025 at the age of 56.
Andrew was a man who lived life in color. A naturally gifted artist, he expressed his unique magic through fashion, sketching, gardening, and his love of thrifting. He saw beauty in the details and potential in blank spaces.
But his creativity was matched only by his magnetic personality. Andrew made friends everywhere he went, whether standing in line at the grocery store or traveling to a new city.
He didn’t just meet people; he connected with them. He moved through life creating things, leaving a touch of his own unique magic on everything he handled.
He was very giving. He shared his artwork with the world, his friendship with complete strangers, and his knowledge with those in need.
Those who knew him best, however, were aware that underneath his creative spirit was a sharp, rational mind. He was the one you could turn to with any issue, no matter how large or small, and he was generous with his time and knowledge.
Andrew would listen without passing judgment and provide the ideal, sensible solution, whether it was a practical issue or a problem in life.
He will be lovingly remembered by his parents Leroy and Precilla, his siblings Alicia, Roy, and Mike and his wife Marilyn, who will forever miss their little brother, his adoring nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of devoted family and friends.
The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Andrew’s best friend since kindergarten, Michael Crittenden, for his lifelong friendship and support.
We also thank his nephews DJ Best and Micheal Best for their dedication in driving Andrew to his appointments, and Auntie Eva, Veronica, Charlotte, and Alexis for ensuring the family was fed during this difficult time.
And a special thanks to Bernie, Zelfa, and their crew for organizing the gathering after the family viewing, and to all friends and family who attended to pay their respects, and sent flowers and cards.
“In the crucible of exhaustion and the echo of loss, we find the unbreakable thread of family love-not as a burden, but as the quiet, enduring current. Every struggle overcome, every difficult day survived, is a testament to a strength greater than grief.
“We carry forward not just memories of those who have passed, but the very light they left behind, using it to navigate the everyday dark.”
Andrew, we will miss your art. We will miss your laugh. We will miss your sharp wit. But mostly, we will just miss you.
