Carla Colleen Black

August 17, 1966 ~ December 10, 2016
Carla Colleen Black passed away from cancer in the early morning on December 10, 2016 at the home of her mother in Sandy, UT.
She was born August 17, 1966. Carla’s parents are Keith and Colleen Black, formally of Blanding, UT.
She attended school in Blanding where she made many friends that she cherished all her life.
She graduated from San Juan High in 1984.
She attended Utah State University, Utah Valley University and then moved to Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Restoration.
She put herself through school working for a software company called Modus Media and continued working there until eight years ago where she was recruited by Script world, a subsidiary of Aetna Insurance.
She truly enjoyed her work, her coworkers and the traveling that she was able to do with the company.
She was there until the time of her death.
Carla is preceded in death by her father Keith W. Black and her brother Kent H. Black.
She is survived by her mother Colleen Black, brother Randy (Marlene) Black, brother Kerry (Kristine) Black and sister-in-law Ardeanne Black Lacy.
She is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews, who she dearly loved, 15 grandnieces and nephews that she adored, and her 19-year-old cat, Shasta.
She was loved dearly and will be missed by all.
Memorial services were held at the Crestview Sixth Ward in Sandy, UT.
Interment will be at a later date in Blanding, UT.
