Carol Anne Palmer Norte

Carol Anne Palmer Norte graduated into heaven on May 26, 2019. Carol had been fighting a valiant battle against ovarian cancer for over three years.
Carol was born February 8, 1969, to Curtis Albert and Barbara Anne Palmer. She was the sixth and final child of the family.
Carol grew up in Blanding and always considered Blanding her home. She gained another mother and two more brothers when her dad remarried in 1981. 
Carol left San Juan High School when she was a sophomore to get married. She earned her GED in 1987. She earned an associate degree from CEU-San Juan in Business Management and Accounting in 1993. 
Carol was blessed with four beautiful children: Amanda Jade, Tanner Jason, Alexis Jewel, and Patrick Christopher. She also had four grandchildren: Lillian Marie Moore, Janee Lynn Moore, Mila De Thouars, and Gage Pionke. 
Carol moved to the Denver area in 2002. She returned to school later and received an associate degree in Massage Therapy from Cambridge College in Aurora, CO the summer of 2007.
Carol’s greatest goal and accomplishment in her life was building her own business. She opened “Simply Magical Massage” in July of 2009.
She built the business from scratch, doing everything herself. She set it up as a hub to help others get started in the massage world. She had 15 individual sub-contracted therapists. 
Carol was always a giving, loving friend and attracted many friends wherever she went. She leaves behind many friends and angels on earth from throughout her whole life. She will be extremely missed by many.
Carol is survived by her children, Mandy and Kristofer Blu Duncan, Tanner and Ruby Pionke, Alexis, and Patch; and her beloved granchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Tim and Karen Palmer, Vaughn and Lillia Palmer, Ray and Kathy Palmer, Sylvia and Lloyd Nielson, Brad and Fawn Palmer, Rick and Debbie Davis, and Mike Davis.
Carol is also survived by her second mother, Janee Palmer, many others in her life she considered family, along with many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents. 
Carol’s favorite quote that she clung to during her trials was: “God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference.”
A memorial service was held Friday, June 14, 2019 in Blanding.
