Carol J Hermance Sallee


March 5, 1941 ~ July 8, 2012
Carol J Hermance Sallee was born on March 5, 1941 to Ralph C Hermance and Dorothy E Clark in Crawford, CO. She died on July 8, 2012.
Carol met the love of her life, James W Sallee, in Moab, UT and married in 1956.
In this union, they had nine children: James R (Kathy) Sallee, Joy (Floyd) Duvall, Jerry (Sarah) Sallee, Jay (Cindy) Sallee, Janet (Bud) Freeman, Jeff, Kathrine, Kerry (Gloria), and Sherry. They had 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandkids.
All her children, grandchildren survive Carol, as well as her Aunt Gerri (Grand Junction, CO) and Aunt Maggie (Huntington, UT).
She also has a little brother, Clifford, living in France and numerous nephews and nieces also survive her.
Carol is preceded in death by her beloved husband, both parents and grandparents, all four of her sisters (Betty, Della, Nancy, Shirley), and one son-in-law, Floyd Duvall.
Carol worked at the Ten Wheeler Café for a few years then went to work for San Juan County Seniors in 1990. She loved every minute of it. She went to work for the Sheriff’s office in November, 1994 until her health stopped her from working in 2006. These health problems eventually took her life. Carol volunteered for the San Juan County Fair for more than 28 years. Even in her wheelchair, Carol could not be kept from the fair.
Carol is gone, but by no means forgotten.

We would like to thank San Juan County Hospital, Dr. Lance Allen, Flight for Life, the nursing team, and Michelle Sonderegger for all their efforts to keep our mom alive. Give yourselves a big hug from us.
A big thanks to Josh Baird for a beautiful service and the ladies of the church for a wonderful meal.
A BIG thanks to all of the friends and family for just being friends and family. Thank you friends that called her mom or grandma for wanting too. We love you all.
