Chace John Ppowell

January 16, 1990 ~ March 16, 2016
It is with broken hearts we write these words.
Chace John Powell, age 26, of Farmington, NM, left this earth on March 16, 2016 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Chace was born January 16, 1990 in Gallup, NM and spent his youth in Bluff, UT.  He was a great brother, uncle, son, family member and the best friend anyone could ask for.  His memory and love will forever reside in those touched by him during his brief stay among us.
With his amazing, loving smile and the kindness that poured freely from him, Chace lifted up everyone he knew, and even those he had only recently met.  Chace had unmatched qualities of strength, courage, generosity and knowledge, and would do anything for the people he loved.  Anyone who knew him was blessed by these gifts.
Chace’s dedication to his work can be seen at Pinon Hills Golf Course in Farmington, NM.  He loved his job and was always looking for ways to improve the course.  When he wasn’t working early morning hours, he could be found golfing, hunting or spending time with his family.  He was particularly fond of his nephews.
Chace is survived by his paternal grandmother Elda Powell; parents Marx and Mary “Cookie” Powell; brothers Tony (Gina), Ricky (Donna) and Brandon (Cherie) Powell; nephews, Daniel, Kyle, Jacob, Toby, Trever, Samuel, Ryan; niece Gianna; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held Thursday, March 24 at 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 400 West Apache Street, Farmington, NM.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe page entitled “In Remembrance of Chace Powell”.  All proceeds raised will help with projects at the Pinon Hills Golf Course, which was Chace’s passion.
