Corine Chamberlain Pugh


January 20, 1938 ~ January 8, 2014
Corine Chamberlain Pugh, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 8, 2014.
Corine was born on January 20, 1938 in Kanab, UT to Cornell and Sylvia Chamberlain.
She was the third of eight children. Corine was raised in Orderville and Glendale, UT.
She married her ideal man, Alton Maurice Pugh, on May 29, 1959. They lived in Cedar City and Hurricane before moving to the Pacific Island of Tonga for three years where Maurice was teaching Agriculture.
Upon returning to the States, they lived in Provo for two years before finally settling in Blanding in 1974.
In recent years, she and Maurice served a Temple Mission to St. George and also lived in Joseph City, AZ, so Maurice could be close to a dialysis center.
Corine is the mother to six children: Lillia Palmer (Vaughn) of Urie, WY; Robert (Tonnie) of Joseph City, AZ; Charles (Jolene) of Spanish Fork, UT; Delton (Debbie) of Blanding; Teryl (Sheri) of Blanding; and Saleta Lusko (Don) of Hanksville, UT.
Corine is a grandmother to 23 and great-grandmother to four (soon to be six).
Corine’s loves are her family, crafts, singing, writing, reading and drawing. As a member of the LDS church, Corine joyfully fulfilled her numerous callings.
She is preceded in death by her parents. Funeral service were held in Blanding on January 13.
