Diane Allen Robins June 18, 1964 ~ September 10, 2026
Diane Allen Robins, 62, passed away peacefully in her home in Aurora, Utah, on September 10, 2026. She was born June 18, 1964, the oldest child of Harold “Gooch” Allen and Colleen Westring Allen—the perfect Father’s Day gift.
Diane had an idyllic childhood in the blue mountains of Monticello, Utah, with her two sisters and brother. Skiing off roofs, practicing the piano before and after school, working at the dairy queen, drill team, lifeguarding, and serving as Miss San Juan County are just a few of her memorable adventures.
Diane initially attended Snow College and later Utah State University before finding her place at Southern Utah State College (SUU), where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education with a minor in music. Although she said she would never have anything to do with a cowboy or a football player, she ultimately found both in Cedar City when she met her future husband, Scott Gary Robins. They were sealed in the Manti Utah Temple on August 1, 1986, and celebrated 40 years together.
Diane and Scott raised four children—Kylie, Kelsha, McKinzie, and Colton. Her children and grandchildren were her entire world, and becoming “Mom” and, especially, “Nama” were among the greatest joys of her life.
An accomplished pianist and organist, Diane shared her musical talents generously. She taught countless children to play piano, accompanied musical groups and community events, and served faithfully in her Church callings. Her piano was her sanctuary, and its beautiful music could often be heard throughout the Robins home.
Diane taught language arts and music at North Sevier Middle School for 23 years. She was far more than a teacher. She was a mentor, advocate, and champion who made every student feel heard, valued, and loved. She recently earned her master’s degree in education from Western Governors University.
Sarcasm was her second language, food was her love language, and family was her everything. She was always in the front row for her family’s concerts, performances, sporting events, banquets, rodeos, and every other adventure.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she loved the Lord and sought to live her life in His image.
Diane will be remembered as a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, teacher, and friend whose life was filled with faith, music, laughter, constant service, hard work, and fierce love.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold “Gooch” Allen, whom she loved and missed every day, and her mother-in-law, Rosalee Robins.
She is survived by her husband, Scott; children Kylie (Ben) Burgess, Kelsha (Rhett) Bailey, McKinzie (Dan Fowers) Robins, and Colton (Lindsay) Robins; mother Colleen (Cooper) Jones; siblings Allie (Brad) LeBaron, Karleah (David) Lee, and Stephen (Lisa) Allen; father-in-law Gary (Elaine) Robins; and grandchildren Cannon, Bentley, and Quinn Burgess; Haisley, Camille, and Taylie Bailey; and Hallee Vera Robins.
