Georgia Mcvey Oliver October 6, 1939 ~ September 16, 2023
Georgia Mcvey Oliver was born October 6, 1939 in Evanston Wy to Inez Jasperson. She lived there until she was five years old with her Grandmother and Mother.
Then they moved to Goshen, UT where she grew up helping her Uncle Ralph on the farm and helping care for her Grandfather Jasperson.
She had two sisters, Elizbeth (Libby) Bovent and LeAlma Rhoades. They were always very close. Georgia always commented on what cute little sisters she had and how much she loved them.
She married Erwin Oliver at the age of 17 years old. They moved to Blanding UT to help on the TY Cattle Ranch with Erwin’s father. They lived on the ranch at Twin Springs, Green Water, Fry Canyon, and Blanding.
They had five children: Rocky Oliver, Tamy Jaramillo, Wendy Brandt, Harrison Oliver, and Desi Calvert. She had six grand kids, four great grand kids, and countless adopted grandkids and kids. She was always loving people and children.
Mom loved God, the Mountain, Flowers, Animals, and her Family. She devoted her life to take care of her children and the animals she always brought in strays. Mom had a good sense of humor always making little wise cracks. She loved to dance, listen to old music, grow flowers, and watch Westerns or Mystery shows.
She had an amazing belief in God and never failed to amaze us with her forgiveness and constant love that she gave to everyone around her. She died on September 16, 2023 in Eastland at the house of her daughter Desi, where she lived for the last year.
Favorite memories include making a baby with cradle out of hankies, being amazed at the Chippendale Stripper’s velcro pants, rides on the mountain on a Can-Am (Jeep rides as she said), laughing uncontrollably telling stories of sledding as a kid, dancing in the living room, playing games with Lealma and getting so competitive, telling stories while decorating the Christmas tree, snuggling the twin babies, and her constant little jokes.
Card of thanks
I would like to say I truly have had an army sent from Heaven this past year. Adopted grandkids, sisters and brothers, friends that became family and helped support and love us like their own. Thank you for all, she loved you so dearly. Thank you from the family for the calls, condolences, texts, cards, meals, and flowers. Your kindness gave a little light in the dark.
