Gerald Milton “Milt” Pipkin May 25, 1949 ~ July 6, 2026

Gerald Milton “Milt” Pipkin, 77, of Blanding, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Monday, July 6, 2026.
Born on May 25, 1949 in Peter’s Springs and raised in Monticello, Milt built a life rooted in hard work, family, and kindness.
He met the love of his life in Blanding, Jean Rose (Tapaha) Pipkin, and together they shared many years of marriage, raising one son, five grandchildren, and later helping raise one beloved granddaughter and four great-grandchildren.
Throughout his life, Milt worked in care facilities in Blanding, Utah, and Mancos, Colorado, before later working at White Mesa Mill. He was known for his willingness to lend a hand, his easy conversations, and the genuine connections he made with those around him.
Milt enjoyed grabbing Pepsi refills at 7-Eleven, visiting with friends, hauling wood for family, and spending time hunting and fishing with his son and grandsons. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and nothing brought him greater joy than making memories with the people he loved.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, Milt will be remembered for his generous spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Thelma Pipkin, and all of his beloved siblings. As the oldest of the Pipkin children, Milt was the last remaining member of his generation, leaving behind a legacy that will live on through the family he cherished.
He leaves behind his son, Darrell Ross Pipkin, and daughter-in-law, Sheila Rose Pipkin; their children, Dillon Johnson Pipkin, Hunter Tapaha Pipkin, Shyla Leila Pipkin, Hayden Tom Pipkin, and River Tabááha Pipkin; as well as the granddaughter they lovingly raised, Angelisa Oshley, her husband Tisdale Navitt Oshley, and their children, Harmony Arlene-Adele Oshley, Oakley Marilyn-Jean Oshley, Paige Mary Oshley, and Easton Milton Oshley.
Milt’s legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and steadfast love for his family.
A memorial service was held at Red Mesa Navajo Full Gospel Church on July 10. Interment at Sunrise Cemetery in Red Mesa.
