Glenna Lee Johnson Stevens

October 17, 1937 ~ September 18, 2019

Glenna Lee Johnson Stevens was born in Cortez, CO on October 17, 1937 to Glenn R. Johnson and Margaret Ellen Palmer Johnson. Glenna was the youngest of seven children: Sylvan, Keith, Norma (Patterson), Leon, Carl, and Dona. 

The family moved to Blanding, where she grew up in a house her dad built by hand. 

Glenna was married to Bruce E. Stevens on February 9, 1953 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 

Together they raised their eight children in Blanding, Mexican Hat, and Kanab, UT.   Their children include Earl E. Stevens (Marci), Calvin B. Stevens (Tina), Karolee S. Jesser (Tim), Brucina S. Knapton, Karl B. Stevens (Sue), Susan S. Hill (David), Glenda S. Wood (Ryan), and Angela S. Werner (Andrew). 

They provided her with 24 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.  

Glenna was known for her years of service in her church callings, her employment positions as a Nurse’s Assistant at the San Juan County Hospital, and as a Medical Assistant at the Kanab Clinic. 

She loved to sing and improvise on the piano. She spent a lot of time outdoors deer hunting, taking scenic drives, and working in the yard. She also enjoyed playing games with her family. 

Glenna is loved and missed by many.
