Ilene Faye Miller July 14, 1938 ~ August 14, 2024

Ilene Faye Miller of Farmington, NM passed away peacefully at home August 14, 2024.  She was born July 14, 1938 at Horsehead near Monticello, UT to Marion and Mildred (Crittenden) Miller.  She is survived by her older brother Carl Marion Miller of Cherry Hills Village, CO and preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick) Backus of Farmington, NM, twin sister Ione Mae (Miller) Slavin of Aztec, NM and younger brother Glenn Mark Miller of Wheatridge, CO.
She graduated from Monticello High School, attended Utah State University for one year and then joined the Navy for further education and travel.  After an honorable discharge she attended Parks Business College in Denver and subsequently was employed in the banking business in Phoenix, AZ.  After retirement she and Dick had an income tax service in Gallup, NM and traveled the USA attending fairs selling ice cream.  Farmington, NM being their choice after traveling the USA.
Ilene, “Auntie” to many, loved the Lord and was an inspiration to all.  
She loved a party.  Please join us for a Celebration of Life August 31, 2024.

Burial Services at 2:30 pm, Mountain View Cemetery (Eastland) Monticello, UT, Reception to follow at the Eastland Community Center
