Kathryn LeAnn (Sober) Cressler, January 31, 1946 ~ May 10, 2023
Kathryn LeAnn (Sober) Cressler, age 77, found peace at last and returned home to her Heavenly Father on May 10, 2023, after a prolonged illness.
LeAnn was born/adopted in Monticello, UT on January 31, 1946, to parents Hazel Hulett and Oris Sober. She was raised as an only child by her very loving and doting parents in Monticello and Blanding, UT.
Although LeAnn was not raised with siblings, she learned that she had several and she developed relationships with them later in life.
LeAnn married Bob Musselman in 1962 in Bluff, UT, then was divorced in 1973. LeAnn and Bob had three children, Stacy Lee, Sherry Ann, and William Shane.
In 1974 she married the love of her life, Dan Cressler in Moab, UT. They were blessed with one child, Jill Rachelle.
LeAnn led a simple and fulfilling life. Although she loved her work at various places over the years and owned successful businesses, her most important roles were Mom, Wife, Grandma and Friend.
She spent a lot of time reading, crocheting, sewing, and gardening. She loved to gamble, and she was an excellent bowler.
She was always ready for a game of Yahtzee or a challenging puzzle. She enjoyed a good joke and a lively conversation.
An illness that limited her mobility did not limit her desire to communicate. She spent countless hours on the phone each week staying in touch. She was very sociable and looked forward to her visits with friends and family.
LeAnn happily passed down the gift of gab to her children and engaged with them often. She was very proud of the family she created.
LeAnn is survived by her wonderful husband Daniel Cressler, children Sherry (Greg) Robinson, Shane (Melody) Musselman, and Jill Kennedy (Rhett Noteman), 17 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
LeAnn is preceded in death by her cherished parents Hazel Hulett Oliver and Oris Sober, and her beautiful first-born daughter Stacy Lee Johnson.
A memorial service for LeAnn was held at San Juan Community Church in Monticello on May 13, 2023.
