Leola Barnes Naylor October 29, 1942 ~ December 12, 2022

I am the daughter of Herbert E. and Elida Knight Barnes. I was born in Ogden, Utah, on October 29, 1942.
I loved grade school in Plain City, UT, Jr. High in Farr West, UT, and Weber High in Ogden, UT, (when it was on 12th Street and Washington Blvd).
I received an Associate Degree from Weber College in 1962, the last year it was a Junior College.
I had a deep love for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a lifelong member I had the opportunity to serve in many church callings.
I found additional joy in attending Seminary, Institute and other church activities.
I also earned the award of Golden Gleaner, which is equivalent to achieving an Eagle Scout.
My greatest achievements were marrying and being sealed to Samuel Gilbert (Bert) Naylor, and teaching our five wonderful children to love the Lord and develop their intellects, talents, and abilities.
We believed in keeping them busy, as well as teaching them to carry their share of the load. Four of our children fulfilled missions.
I am survived by one brother, Merlin Mark (Corliss) Barnes, as well as our children Wendy (Howard) Garrard, Brenda Naylor, Brian (Karlyn) Naylor, Duaine (Rashele) Naylor, and Shaun (Dawn) Naylor.
I am also survived by seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Those welcoming me home on the other side are my parents, my sister and her husband, Carolena and Marvin Flint, and my sister-in-law, Darla (Merlin Mark) Barnes.
I danced joyfully from this life at my home on December 12, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on December 17 at the Springville Stake Center, 245 S. Kolob Circle.
Viewing from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. I will be buried afterwards in the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville, UT. Condolences may be expressed at www.bergmortuary.com.
