Lila Rae Crapo Redd December 13, 1946 ~ August 16, 2024

Lila Rae Crapo Redd peacefully passed from this life on August 16, 2024, at home and surrounded by family.
Lila was born December 13, 1946, in Roosevelt, UT to Herald and Beatrice Crapo. She was raised in Myton, UT and graduated from Union High School in 1964. She then attended Brigham Young University where she met the love of her life – Lem Redd. They were married on December 15, 1967, in the Manti Utah Temple.
After Lem graduated from BYU, they lived in Idaho for several years where their children were born. They moved to Paradox, CO in 1975 and raised their three children – Brett (Lisa) Redd, Kathryn (Rob) Wilcox, and Kevin (Brenda) Redd.
Lem and Lila moved to Blanding, UT in 1992 where they happily stayed for the remainder of their lives. At the time of her death, Lila had seven grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Lila worked with children in the West End school district for many years while living in Paradox. After moving to Blanding, she worked in the grocery store for decades where she made many lifelong friends.
Lem and Lila were devoted to each other and one of their greatest joys was to go on an adventure in the outdoors, especially if children and grandchildren could go with them.
They both took many photos which they treasured and shared. Lila never took the hobby back up once Lem passed.
One of Lila’s traditions was to host a “cousin week” every summer where the grandchildren came to spend a week with their Granny and no parents were allowed.
Lila was a magician with flowers, and her yard was always bright with blossoms and butterflies and hummingbirds.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many callings, with a strong testimony of the gospel and her Savior Jesus Christ.
Lila is preceded in death by her parents Herald and Beatrice, siblings Dawn, LaNore, Joan, David, and her husband Lem, who passed in 2011.
She is survived by sisters Linna, Susan and Sandra, brother Herald, children Brett, Kathryn, and Kevin, grandchildren Ashlynn, Mikayla, Baylea, McKael, Taylor, Ethan, and Ryan, and great-grandson Anthony.
