Lynn Chee

October 7, 1932 ~ March 29, 2011
Lynn Chee passed away after a valiant battle with cancer on March, 29, 2011. He was born on October, 7, 1932 in Hatch, UT. He passed away at the Four Corners Regional Care Center in Blanding, UT.
His viewing was held at the San Juan Mortuary on Wednesday. His funeral was held at the LDS chapel in Montezuma Creek, UT Thursday March, 30, 2011. He was interred at Cedar Ridge Mesa, UT. The reception was held at the LDS chapel in Montezuma Creek, UT.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Jane Chee (Rockwell) of Aneth, UT. He is also survived by ten children and 18 grandchildren.
Brenda (TJ) Chee of Aneth; Belinda (Henry) Clark of Aneth; Lyndon (Geneva) Chee of Chinle, AZ; Lyndell (Teresa) Chee of Durango, CO; Lemuel (Marietta) Chee of Aneth; Bernita Norton of Albuquerque, NM; Nita (Alvin) Bailey of SLC, UT; Larry Chee of Durango, CO; Glenda Chee, of Aneth; and Leon (Charlotte) Chee of Cortez, CO.
Lynn Chee was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a very hard worker; he mined uranium for Union Carbide Corp. in Egnar, CO for 28 years.
He enjoyed livestock and being outdoors, he was a lifetime rancher. He was a kind, generous, strong, and brilliant man. He earned the title “MacGyver” for his innovative thinking and creations, there wasn’t anything that he couldn’t fix.
He had a very strong belief in God and was very religious.
He was diagnosed with Lung Silicosis in 1992, Leiomyosarcoma in 2009, and spinal and pelvic metastisis in early 2011.
He bravely fought cancer for many years but he succumbed to the cancer two months after being diagnosed with spinal and pelvic metastisis in March, 2011.

Lynn Chee leaves behind a legacy that will never be forgotten by his friends and family. He is deeply missed by many loved ones. God be with you till we meet again.
