Margaret Sanchez Montano

January 24, 1926 ~ June 27, 2013
Margaret Sanchez Montano, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on June 27, 2013, at the age of 87.
She was born on January 24, 1926 to Benito and Ilaria Sanchez in La Sal, UT.
She was the oldest of 12 brothers and sisters.
She married Ignacio Montano in 1950 and together had ten children. They lived in Blanding most of her life.
Mom worked at the San Juan Nursing home for many years. She loved being around her children, grandchildren, and family.
She is survived by her children Ernie Montano, Albert Montano, Viola Montano, Rick (Brenda) Montano, Sawd Montano, Jake (Ruby) Montano all of Blanding; Becky (Rosendo) Mata, of Ogden, UT; Mary Story, of Farmington, NM; Lisa Montano, of Salt Lake City,UT; 31 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.
A viewing was held on July 2, 2013 at the San Juan Mortuary in Blanding, followed by a service at the First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, great-granddaughter and a son-in-law. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
