Milton Tyde Compton

May 21, 1928 ~ December 26, 2007

Our loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle, Milton Tyde Compton of Washington City, Utah, passed away December 26, 2007.

He was born in Espanola, New Mexico on May 21, 1928 to Calvin & Lucille (Meyers) Compton, he lived 79 years. Milton married Lucille (Douglass) Gage on October 29, 1993, in Fremont, Utah.

His early years were spent on a farm outside of Dolores, CO. Milton started driving his own truck at an early age and continued to drive truck for the most part of his life. The last 14 years he spent in Monticello, Utah and Washington, Utah.

He is survived by his wife Lucille Compton, brother Richard, sisters Louise Tanner, Myrtle Nelson, Gaylen Compton, and Jo Ellen Martin, daughters Sheri McMillian, Tonda Henley and Tara Compton, stepchildren Diane Harris, June Salisbury (Red), Steve Cash (Donna), Dave Orr (Kathy), Dean Orr (Michelle), and Judy Dyer (Steve), also many grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Eugene, Raymond, Wayne, and Lowell, and sister Genevieve Taylor.

Funeral services were January 2, 2008 in the LDS Chapel at Washington, Utah. Interment in the Washington City Cemetery.
