Nancy Ann Palmer Cahoon August 17, 1937 ~ January 8, 2022

Nancy Ann Palmer Cahoon, aged 85, slipped away peacefully on January 8th.
Nancy was born on Aug. 17, 1937 in Provo, Utah to George and Ann Palmer.  She was their second child, joining her older brother Phillip to complete the family.
Nancy’s childhood and teen years were spent in the outdoors in and around Monticello Utah, playing with friends and riding and caring for her horse, Lady.
After graduating High School in 1956 she was married, and moved to Germany with her husband, who served in the military.  Their first child, a daughter who they name Lynette, was born while they were there.
After returning to the US they moved to Cedar City, Utah, where their second child was born, a son who they named Rickey.
Nancy’s marriage ended while Lyn and Rick were still young, and she became a single mother raising 2 kids in Monticello.  She found work assisting local attorney Benion Redd, then eventually started work for San Juan County with the local School district office.  She remained with the School District until she retired as the District Clerk in 1998.
Nancy enjoyed spending any time she could on her cherished Blue Mountain, walking her dogs and exploring the many known and unknown paths and trails.  She is survived by her children Lynette Mosher and Rick Cahoon (Darlesa), 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, as well as 2 cats and her dog. She was predeceased by her mother and father, her brother Phillip, and Lyn’s husband Smokey.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Rest In Peace beloved mother.
