Perry Johnson June 27, 1951 ~ December 13, 2022

Perry Johnson, 71, passed away on December 13, 2022 after a lifelong struggle with heart complications.
He was born on June 27, 1951 to John Clarence Johnson and Lora Gene Peterson. Perry spent his early years in Bluff with his three siblings.
As a kid he loved shooting his .22 out his window, playing with black powder, and hanging out with his Grandpa John.
In later years, he loved off roading in pickups and jeeps, duck and deer hunting, as well as swimming in the local water hole and the San Juan River.
After running a service station in Bluff, he worked at Peabody Coal in his early 20’s. There he ran shovels and draglines with buckets big enough to fit a jeep.
He moved to Utah County and got into the pawn business in 1981. He ran P&S Pawn Inc. with his brother Ray for over 25 years and then with his children for the past 13 years.
Perry was a friend to everyone and had a joke for every occasion. It didn’t matter where he was or what he was doing, he always tried to make people laugh.
In 1988, Perry married Jan Lee and gained a daughter, Amy. They later had four children together. His kids and grandkids were the thing he cherished the most.
He was excited to tell everyone about their activities and accomplishments. He took great pride in them and everything he did in life was for their benefit.
Perry is survived by his siblings Ray (Catherine), Shari (Ambrose), and Shelia
(Richard), his five children Amy (Ben), Lonnie, Gina, Heidi, and Brady, and his three grandchildren Lucas, Rowan, and Eliza.
In his memory, a celebration of life was held on December 18, 2022 in Provo, UT.
He was laid to rest on December 19, 2022 at the cemetery in Bluff in a small graveside service.
