Ralph Dan Webb October 22, 1936 ~ June 4, 2024

Ralph Dan Webb was born on October 22, 1936 in Lehi, Utah to Ralph Smith Webb and Mildred Whipple Webb. He has been known as Dan his entire life. Ralph Smith was in dental school in Minnesota at the time Dan was born. Dan was the first of four children and had two sisters Suzanne and Miriam and one brother William (Bill). Dan moved with his family to Idaho Falls as a young child after his dad had to leave school early due to the great depression and he lived there until he was 12 years old.
At the age of 12 he moved to Provo, Utah and lived there for the next several years.  He spent his summers working along with his cousins for his grandpa Webb, herding and tending cattle and weeding sugar beats.  It was here in the sixth grade that Dan met Glenna who was to become his eternal companion.
Dan enjoyed his high school years dating Glenna and was active in sports, theater and music, including his favorite activity singing in a quartet.  He had a beautiful tenor voice and played the piano and trumpet.
Dan and Glenna were married in the Salt Lake Temple at the age of 18 on August 19, 1955 after attending their first year at BYU. Dan had submitted papers to serve a mission as allowed at the time but was told during the interview process his call was to stay home and raise a righteous family. Corrine their first child was born just before Dan turned 21.  The rest of their eight children came one at a time about every two years as Dan and Glenna worked through college, and Dan took his first job as a BYU graduate in sociology with the Department of Employment Security for the State of Utah where he would stay and work his entire career.  At the age of 33 he moved his family to Blanding Utah where they would remain for the next 46 years raising their family and serving in the community.  They enjoyed all the outdoor activities and spent lots of family time in the mountains and canyons.  Southern Utah was a treasure of adventure, exploring and discovery the family enjoyed.
Dan was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, following in a legacy of faith ingrained in him by his parents and grandparents. He served in many positions of leadership in the church, including multiple quorum and organization presidencies, Stake High Council, Bishopric Counselor, and Bishop.  Dan and Glenna served as temple workers for several years in the Monticello, Utah Temple and served a couples mission in Ukraine.  He also enjoyed decades of serving in leadership in the scouting organization and helped many young men achieve the rank of Eagle Scout.
Dans legacy of faith and love of family has been passed on to his 8 living children, Corrine, Cindy, Chris, Kevin, Valynne, Roxanne, Brett, and Patrice. Their spouses and families have grown and are spread across the United States, including 51 grandchildren and 110 great grandchildren.  He was proceeded in death by his granddaughter, Danae Parmenter, his loving wife Glenna, and parents, Ralph, and Mildred.  Dan is the first of his siblings to leave this mortal life.
